On Sunday evening i.e. on September 20, the audio release function of Akhil’s debut film ‘Akhil’ played out as expected at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad and calling it grand might be an understatement. The whole clan had gathered at the function. Among those who graced the event were Akkineni Nagajuna, Amala, Mahesh Babu, Naga Chaitanya, Hero Akhil, Naga Suseela, Sushanth, Heroine Sayesha Saigal, Nithin, Sumanth, VV Vinayak, Bandla Ganesh, Nimmagadda Prasad, KL Narayana, Koratala Siva, Prasad V Potluri, Chalasani Ramesh, Kona Venkat, C Kalyan, ML Kumar Chowdary and BA Raju.
Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu launched the theatrical trailer, while audio CDs were launched by Akkineni Nagarjuna.
Speaking on the occasion, Akkineni Nagarjuna said, “Akhil’ look is wonderful in the film and the real reason for that is the effort of Vinayak, Nithin and Sudhakar Reddy. I did ‘Varasudu’ with Superstar Krishna and now his Varasudu Mahesh Babu has launched the audio CD of my Varasudu Akhil. Thanks to him. The relationship between fans and our family was started 75 years back itself. My father will be always with me. I wish all the best to Sayesha Saigal. Thanks to Nithin and Sudhakar Reddy. The film will be released on October 22, on the occasion of Vijayadashami.”
On this occasion, Superstar Mahesh Babu said, “First of all congrats to Akhil. Trailer is mind-blowing. Akhil has terrific screen presence. It appeared in songs and trailers. Vinayak garu is the best person to present any hero. Thanks to Vinayak garu for giving another big hero to the Telugu film industry. I wish all the best to Akhil, Vinayak and Nithin. ANR lives on. I wholeheartedly wish that the film will become super-duper hit.”
Addressing the gathering, Akhil said, “Vinay garu treats me like his son and as a friend. He also promised me to work with me once again. Thanks to Anoop and Thaman. Amol Rathod has presented me in a new angle. I’m thankful to all artists and technicians. Fight master Ravi Varma garu has made me to do risky stunts and stood as backbone. Jani and Sekhar master have made me to dance wonderfully. Each and everyone in the team have kept their heart and soul for the good outcome. Sudhakar Redd garu stood as backbone, while Vinayak garu is the heart of the film. The stood by my side and boosted my confidence levels. My special thanks to them. Thanks to Kona Venkat, Veligonda Srinivas and Sayesha Saigal. Thanks to my brother Chaitu. Nithin insisted me to do the film under Vinaka’s direction. My long-time dream is to celebrate my film’s audio release function in the presence of my parents and my brother. It came true now. I’m thankful to everyone who supported me.”
VV Vinayak said, “I promised Nagarjuna that ‘Akhil’ will become a big sensational hit. I hope I have kept my words. As a director, I’m sure Akhil will become superstar. Producer Nithin said, “My father and my sister did very hard work than me. By trusting me and our banner, Akkineni family has given us the responsibility to launch their third generation hero. Everyone felt that I got the lucky chance. But, it’s a huge responsibility. Vinayak garu and I promised that we will bring a super duper hit film. We hope that we have kept our words. As of now, I won’t say about the film. Each and everyone in the team have worked hard for the good outcome of the film. Anoop and Thaman have provided excellent music. Though Akhil is a debt hero, we find high maturity levels and confidence in him than any other. Our entire team knows his hard work and dedication. I’m sure it will take him to the high levels. For example, his leg was injured when we were in the last day of shooting in Europe. Akhil has to do song. We insisted him not to do but he took some pain killers and joined the sets. As a friend and as a brother, I wish that Akhil will reach great positions. With the blessings of Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and his fans and our hard work, the film will become big hit.”
Naga Chaitanya said, “After ‘Sisindri’ and ‘Manam’, Akhil will hit a hat trick through ‘Akhil’. I’m very happy that Vinayak garu has presented Akhil in a wonderful way. Anoop and Thaman have given wonderful music. Thanks to Nithin and Sudakar Reddy garu for arranging such a grand function. I’m sure ‘Akhil’ is big feast for fans in October.”

Youngest scion of Akkineni family Akhil is being launched with the film titled ‘Akhil’ and ‘The Power of Jua’ as the tag line. Beautiful and gorgeous Sayesha Saigal, the grandniece of living legend Dilip Kumar, is making her Tollywood debut through this film. The other prominent cast in the film includes Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vennela Kishore and Sathagiri. Sensational director VV Vinayak is directing this action packed film. The film also stars Dilip Kumar’s niece Sayesha Saigal. This most anticipated film is being produced by Youth Star Nithiin and his father N Sudhakar Reddy under his home banner Sreshth Movies. Young music composers Anoop Rubens and SS Thaman are giving musical tunes for the film. Amol Rathod is handling the cinematography work, while Kona Venkat is penning the dialogues.
