Gundello Godari Press Meet

‘Gundello Godari’ starring Aadi Pinisetty, Sandeep Kishan, Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu and Taapsee is all set to hit screens in November. Kumar Nagendra is directing this film and Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu is producing it on Manchu Entertainment Pvt Ltd. banner with music by Ilayaraja. A press meet was held on Monday to brief about the film’s details.

Speaking to the media Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu said, “Gundello Godari is the film based on the backdrop of 1980 cyclone. We took 27 acres of land for lease and laid 200 huts on it to get the original look. We shot the film on that set for about 40 days. The direction as well as the camera department struggled to capture those scenes. However,we have completed the shooting successfully. Right now the post-productions and C.G. works are going on. Ilayaraja garu composed excellent tunes in Telugu as well as Tamil. There are altogether six songs in the film out of which 5 songs are similar in both the languages. Director Kumar crafted the movie extraordinarily. We will release the audio in another 2 weeks and the film in November.”

Speaking further she said, “I loved Konaseema a lot. I visited all places and all houses. People at Konaseema are very affectionate and kind natured. Taapsee’s Malayalam film ‘Doubles’ is being dubbed into Tamil as ‘Pudhuvai Ma Nagaram’ which is going to be released shortly. It’s very sad to note that they are interlinking that movie’s poster with ‘Gundello Godari’ poster for the publicity. Hence I complained to Tamil producers council and they have promised to take a legal action against them.”

Taapsee said, “I earned the image as glamorous heroine with ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ and I’m sure I’ll be recognized as a Telugu girl through this film. I did a very good role in this film. I’m very happy to work yet another time with Lakshmi.”

Sandeep Kishan said, “I earned name as a good performer with ‘Prasthanam’. And I’m confident that I’ll earn even better name in this film. The sets in this film took me way back to 1980s.”
