Tollywood’s romantic hero Akkineni Nagarjuna today turned 49. He celebrated his birthday at his residence, his dad’s (ANR) residence and also at Annapoorna Studios in Hyderabad in the presence of his family members, well-wishers and a huge fanfare. A large cutout from ‘King’ was placed at the entrance of the studios. K Raghavendra Rao, RB Chowdary and VN Aditya were the prominent who greeted him at his residence.

Statewide Nagarjuna Fans Associations stormed the twin cities to celebrate Nag’s birthday grandly. In tune with the trend in actor oriented families where the fans of seniors automatically bestow the loyalty to the juniors, in Nag’s family too the birthday celebration of Nagarjuna saw together the fans of Dr ANR and Nagarjuna. Their love to the family was lavishly displayed by a jumbo size cake, a cheque for Rs 1 lakh donated to Akkineni International Foundation for welfare activities and an amount of Rs 20,000 given to physically handicapped students as financial assistance.

This birthday is a very special for Nag as his son Naga Chaitanya, the next generation will make a grand gala entry into film world on September 20, the birthday of Nagarjuna’s father ANR. The overwhelming Nag played a proud father by renouncing his title ‘Yuva’ in favour of his son Naga Chaitanya.
