At a function organized at Tabla, the unit of Teja's Oka V Chitram felicitated Dasari Narayanarao on the occasion of his 60th Birthday. Murali Mohan, Raviraja Pinisetty, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and Ramakrishna Prasad were the guests for the evening.

"70% of our Industry comes from Dasari's campus. Through his banner, Siri Media, he has encouraged small budget films and loads of new talent". Guest Tammareddy Bharadwaja said of the veteran director Dasari.

Echoing Tammareddy's word was yester year's hero and producer Murali Mohan "lots of directors of the Telugu Film Industry are from Dasari's school. Though I did not debut with his film he was the one who encouraged me during the initial stages of my career".

"Everybody in this industry addresses Dasari as Guruvu garu "Director Teja whose film Oka V Chitram Dasari is producing, said "and as I did not come from his campus I was not used to calling him that. But after learning so much about him I started considering him as my Guru".

"I was barefoot when I first stepped in Chennai" Dasari Narayana Rao said "and today I have reached a stage where I can proudly say that 60% of the Telugu Industry people are from my campus. Not only Telugu, I even encouraged people in the Tamil Film Industry. Rajnikanth, Bharati Raja and now Vikram have all done film with me in the initial stages of their career". Talking about director Teja he continued "Like me Teja has also introduced a lot of new talent to our industry. And we are doing the same with our film Oka V Chitram. When Teja approached me he was frustrated and I soothed him by saying that this is just the beginning of his career and he still has a lot to achieve. I liked the story that he narrated and am producing it. Tammareddy is producing this film in my absence". He also advised that the Media should play an important role in promoting small budget films.
