‘Mahanati’ -The biopic on legendary actress Savitri brought in a lot of feedback and appreciation from all over. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged success meet (Vijayabheri) in Visakhapatnam. Entire film unit attended the event. Nag Ashwin has directed the film. Keerthy Suresh played Savitri in the film. Samantha, Dulquer Salman and Vijay Devarakonda played other pivotal roles. Mahanati is produced by Swapna Cinemas and Vyjayanthi Movies.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajendra Prasad said, “Many of this generation may not know who Savitri is. And now they are watching the film over and over again. Savitri garu’s life was picturised in such a cultured manner. My heartfelt thanks to audience for making the film such a huge success. Long back I toured towns when I was hero in the films. Now, after long time, I am participating in the success tour for the role KV Chowdary which I played in Mahanati. Director Nag Ashwin has carved out each and every frame wonderfully. Keerthi Suresh has given 100% justice to her Mahanati role. I appreciate Sapna and Priyanka for taking up huge responsibility.”
Swapna Dutt said, “Visakhapatnam is a beautiful city and the audience here will encourage films as beautifully as the city. Mohan Babu garu and Rajendra Prasad garu’s support is forgettable. We are thankful to them for accepting our request. Keerthy Suresh did a wonderful job.”
On this occasion, director Nag Ashwin said, “We have started Mahanati journey exactly a year ago i.e. on May 27. Producers Swapna and Priyanka have made the film without compromising in any aspect.
